Chocolate Chip Banana Bread
Batter breads are a comfort food around here. And what a better way to get rid of those brown bananas lying around the kitchen?? Or am I the only one with those squishy guys that appear out of nowhere?? Love this stuff, and the kids gobble it right up.
Chocolate chip Banana Bread
3/4 cup sugar
1/2 cup butter, softened (1 stick)
2 eggs
3-4 bananas
1/2 cup whole milk
1 tsp lemon juice
1 1/2 cups white flour
1/2 cup whole wheat flour
1/2 cup quick oats
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
1 tsp vanilla
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1 cup chocolate chips
Preheat your oven to 350 degrees. Mix sugar, butter, bananas and eggs together in a mixing bowl. Add all the other ingredients, beat until smooth. Pour into loaf pans. 8 inch loaf pan will bake for about 1 hour, a 9 inch pan will need about 1 hour and 15 minutes. Make sure you dip a toothpick in the center to see if it comes up clean. If it does, you’re done!
As soon as they are done baking, loosen the sides with a knife, pop them out of the pans, and cool on a wire rack.
