Oreo Trifle (Dirt Pudding)

This simple spring recipe is one I completely forgot about until I was talking with Jessica from Wise Little Hoots on our podcast this week. We chatted all about Birthday Parties on a Budget. We decided to use this dessert idea for our little guy’s 2nd birthday this week instead of a cake. All the kids were thrilled and it was soooo easy to make.

Oreo (Dirt Pudding) Trifle

Ingredients:

2 (3.9 oz) packages of instant chocolate pudding

1 (3.9 oz) package of instant vanilla pudding

6 cups milk

1 box of oreos

gummy worms

gummy frogs

Directions:

Mix together vanilla pudding mix with 2 cups of milk until smooth. Put in refrigerator. Mix together 4 cups of milk and 2 chocolate pudding mixes. Put in refrigerator. Put oreos in a large ziplock bag, make sure all the air is out of it, zip it up, then start pounding it with a rolling pin until all the pieces are crushed.

Get your cups ready and grab your pudding out of the fridge. You’re going to layer it up. Chocolate pudding on the bottom, then a layer of crushed oreos, vanilla pudding next, oreos, chocolate pudding then oreos again on top. You can have your worms mixed in, or just have them laying on the top. We mixed the gummy worms in. We also topped with gummy frogs. Enjoy!
