We had one of the most bittersweet experiences of our lives this week. My husband and I drove 20 hours to drop off our oldest daughter off for her first year at college. We moved her into her dorm, and then drove home without her. I thought my mama heart would break as we drove away. I couldn’t have more joy in her new adventures and accomplishments, but I am mourning the phase of our life we are leaving behind. I have loved having all my children at home with me. I know I will come to love this new phase, but change is always very hard while we adjust. This quote has given me comfort. I hope you will find comfort in it, for whatever changes have come into your life as well.
