Fruity Pebbles Treats

I had the pleasure of leading the children's choir at my church for 4 years. They perform several times a year, but once a year they put on an hour long program (called the Primary Program) for the entire congregation. At the end of their program, I wanted to make sure they had some tasty treats to eat. The tricky part about this, was figuring out what I could bring that would be okay with everyone's food allergies. I couldn't do peanuts, dairy, gluten or chocolate. That was when the Fruity Pebbles Treats were born. They're just like Rice Krispy Treats, but you use Fruity Pebbles instead. You could do this with any cereal.

Fruity Pebbles Treats:

Ingredients:

7 cups fruity pebbles cereal (The off brand can be fine, too. Just check your labels.)

5 cups mini marshmallows

4 TBSP butter (or a dairy free margarine- in stick form- for dairy allergies)

Directions:

Melt marshmallows and butter together in a large microwave safe bowl in 30 second increments, stirring in between until there are no clumps.

Can you tell this wasn't my first batch by the messy bowl?

Add Fruity Pebbles into mixture and stir together.
