Apple Spice Bread
This Apple Spice Bread was inspired by the apple streusel muffins at Costco. We love the apple and maple flavors! It is fantastic for breakfast or brunch or to toss in the kids’ lunches. We love it with honey butter or even just on its own. Your house will smell amazing, and it’s super easy to whip up.

Apple Spice Bread
Ingredients:
2 1/2 cups flour
1 1/2 cups sugar
1 1/2 cups unsweetened applesauce
1/2 cup butter, softened
1/2 cup milk
2 eggs
juice from 1/2 lemon
1 tsp vanilla
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
1 tsp cinnamon
1/4 tsp cloves
1/4 tsp nutmeg
1/8 tsp ginger
maple glaze (recipe below)
Directions:
Mix together all the above ingredients except for the flour and the maple glaze. Stir in flour until well incorporated. Pour into 2 greased bread pans (large).
Preheat oven to 350 F degrees. Bake for 50-60 minutes. You know it’s done when you stick in a tooth pick and it comes out clean. When it is done, loosen the sides and pop out onto a baking rack to cool. When it has cooled for a bit, drizzle with maple glaze.
